Raha Fard is an Iranian-Canadian multidisciplinary artist holding an MFA and BFA from OCAD University, and a master’s degree and 14 years of experience in Telecommunication Engineering. As a first-generation immigrant of the Iranian diaspora and a cancer survivor, she works across disciplines to explore the intersection of body, psychoanalysis, politics, and art.
Raha was selected as one of three artist-researchers for the AGOXRBC Emerging Artist Exchange Program in 2024. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. The Canada Council Creation Project Grant, Ontario Arts Council Visual Project Grant, Ontario Arts Council Exhibition Assistance Grant, Full Ontario Graduate Scholarship, Graduate Studies Research Grant, and OCAD U President’s Award are some of her recognitions.
She is also the author of the Farsi novel محوشدگی, published by Mehri Publication. The novel was included in BBC Farsi’s list of ten notable Farsi books published outside Iran in 2023. Raha will begin her PhD studies at Toronto Metropolitan University in Fall 2026.
